Topography of Terror

The Topography of Terror is an outdoor museum located in Niederkirchnerstrasse on the site of buildings which during the Nazi regime were the headquarters of the Gestapo and the SS.  The Berlin Wall ran along the south side of the street and the wall here was never demolished.  The permanent exhibition contains over 800 square meters and its focus is on the central institutions of the SS and police in the "Third Reich" as well as the crimes they committed.
